No they're not looking for respect. They're looking for naivete and it's clear in the predatory manner in which they offer or seek out relationships with these women. If they were looking to be seen in a genuine way, first, it'll affect even the kind of women they choose in these countries, and it'll reflect in how they express themselves or what they present to the table. But no, if you ever hear the story of any of them, you'd see this was nothing but the fulfilment of the puerile fantasies of a selfish person.
